HERO
« on: July 17, 2015, 12:28:22 PM »
I had the privilege of having David Wyatt as a student. He is an alumnus of Russellville High School, Class of 1998.  He leaves a wife, 2 pre-school age children, 2 sisters, a grieving mom and a grieving dad as well as step siblings.

I know it's Woopig, but please let's honor his memory instead of politicizing this thread.

Screw you if you don't think the 4 Marines who lost their lives yesterday are heroes.

Rest easy, David. You did more than I'll ever dream of for our country.

Rest in peace.
When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in confederacy against him.

I do have words.  They are simply: "Thank you, for everything.  You are more man than I am or every will be.  Thank you to you and your brothers for the life my family gets to enjoy."

So sad and tragic.  Its bad enough that we lose heroes on the battlefield.  But to lose them in such a cowardly way is just sickening.  i don't know these men, but I know they are all more of a man than I'll ever be.  Thank you for your service, condolences to your families, God bless.

Fucking cowards.  If you expect to reach martyrdom and get 72 virgins, why not have some balls and face a fully armed Battalion of Marines? I know why, because the Marines would fuck yo aMm up so bad your 72 virgins would be pregnant with Marine sperm.

Stop being pussies.

Thoughts go out to the families.

Agreed. The one place Military folk feel safe is "On base". Give these same Marines a gun in a war zone and they know what that is. Always on alert.
No one is on alert on a base.
Fucking coward indeed.

Damn, just damn, man. RIP

Wyatt's sister spoke with THV11's Dan Grossman on Friday. She said Wyatt graduated from Russellville High School in 1998. He played football and was in the band, and he even played at President Bill Clinton's inauguration.

Wyatt, an Eagle Scout, is said to have attended Arkansas Tech and University of Montana.

His sister called his being an Eagle Scout, a "great honor for his family." She also called him a wonderful husband a father to two small children.

Wyatt served two tours; one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan. His fellow Marines have messaged his family, sharing stories of his humor and dedication.

She remarked, "He loved coming home to Arkansas to visit. One of his favorite times was the Miracle on Markham. He loved to call those Hogs, and would try to catch a basketball game if he was in town."
