I'm going to go for 3 more years.  Worst batting average ever is .314, least HR's 32, and most strikeouts ever was in his rookie season with 93.  And he's got a ring.

Crown his ass!

Steroids.. :nono:

you have ANYTHING to back this up, retard?

Pujols ain't on steroids, he's just a freak.

And he will one day go down as the GREATEST if he stays healthy and the Cards at least stay competitive.

Pujols has always had that power... it wasn't some mid-career astonishing jump in power totals.

And steroids don't keep your average around .330 for your career.

I guess you're talking about Pineiro's play on the linedrive, it was a highlight.  Here it is on mlb's site.

I am a huge Cubs fan and think Derek Lee is the best we have ever had at 1st base ( I don't count Ernie as a 1B man), but I think Albert Pujols is the best hitter player in MLB.  I know he was just voted the most feared hitter in a poll of MLB GM's on ESPN's website.

This is good information to have the next time a General Manager toes the rubber.

Thanks, ESPN!

I like the photo from that vantage point immediately after Pujols' swing.  George HW Bush is looking at his wife with this WTF-face, and she looks like she is about to cry.

Let's see him put together two seasons winning over 20 games and pitching 300+ innings to go along with those nice hitting stats like a certain man did or win games with his legs and defense also because there are guys who have done more than just hit the ball. When he manages to hit .400 or higher in a season you maybe could put him in the same breath as Ted Williams. I don't but this whole nonsense that modern guys would crush everybody in the 30's, this ain't football.

You can't compare stats from a vastly different time period.

Plus, Pujols as regarded as one of, if not the, best defensive 1b. He was an above average defender at 3b and LF. How many full-time 1b do you see with the ability to move over and play 2b when needed?

Current elbow issues aside, he's traditionally had a great arm as well.

I can compare the fact that Babe Ruth pitched also besides hitting. Pujols is a great hitter no doubt but he's not stealing games defensively like Mays did. Best ever is a long ways away from being given to him. If he maintains this type of average and breaks the all time HR record maybe we can talk.
