Keep this on THIS board only,

but Academy Sports on W. Markham is getting a truckload of Duracell batteries, Coleman propane canisters and lanterns, and beef jerky packages early this afternoon.

Make sure you're already in the store when that truck arrives.

I was going to say it felt more like it was 11, but I am wearing gloves.

It is so cold in Dallas TO and Witten are sharing the same hand warmer heater at practice this morning.

The bakeries have been working so hard to keep NWA in bread, two workers suffered heat exhaustion, and the cows have developed blisters on their nipples from pumping out the milk to keep everybody safe.

Somebody better get a shitload of yeast and bag balm.

Better get Bea Arthur on the scene.

I'm perplexed by the negative feedback. I just don't get it. What's wrong with you?

Just got off the phone with some bidnesses in Tulsa. They're going to send three trucks, full of batteries, milk, booze and bread this afternoon. They will hit up the ice road down the Arkansas River.

Let's pray that these trucks make it. The receiving point will be behind the ampitheatre in the river market. I am hearing rumors that underground pub will open up, based on this delivery.

I'm in Fayetteville and just went out to start my car with a t-shirt on and my nips are hard enough to cut glass right now. It feels like 0 with the wind.

Ephedrine sales are through the roof here in Saline County in anticipation of WhiteDeath 2008.  The only way folks here are getting out of their homes is if they have a sale on Stone Cold Steve Austin t-shirts at Walmarks.

Nothing like waking up at 6:30am, finding out your place of employment is shut down, and rolling back over for another 3 1/2 hours.

17 in Fayetteville? It's brisk up here in Bentonville but a t-shirt did me just fine.

For the 28 seconds I was out there.

11:10 a.m. and still super icy here in NWA.  Sirens and empty buildings burning out of control all over S. Fayetteville.  It was so slick when I pulled out of my driveway at 5:00 this morning I spun tires for three blocks....but I do that every morining so no bigE.  Talking about a high of 22 today...not seeing that at all.  20 tops.

It's 2 degrees in KC today. My brother called me this morning and said he and his family went to eat lunch yesterday at some place where little trains bring your food out. Anyway it was something like 65 degrees then. By the time they got back to Woods Chapel Road it was 50 degrees...by the time they made it over to 291...it was 40 degrees and by the time they got home in Grain Valley it was 30 degrees. All in a matter of a couple hours.
And so it was that later

He has all the inside sources with the Weather Channel. All he has to do is show up in his vintage Detlef Shrimpf Sonics jersey and he gets all the good stuff.

He is Hitler's 3rd cousin once removed so I can see where that would pull some weight.

They say some locals from Winslow have parked their trucks on the north end of the Bobby Hopper Chunnel and some crazed West Forkians set them on fire because the newcular pipeline from Russellville had froze up.

And yes cows have nipples. We just simplify it and call them teats here in the motherland.

Things are looking dire in Searcy County. I'm going to poach a river elk for food and dispose of the collar in a rocky gorge.  Then I fear I must set my meth lab on fire for warmth.
