holy crap.  I think the Arizona Cardinals have an actual home field advantage with a loud crowd.

There something I never thought I would say.

No kidding.  That place is rocking.

I can't believe they sold out in 6 minutes though.  That doesn't seem logistically possible.

Huge break for the Greenbirds on the defensive holding.  It was about to get ugly.
I think it has to be the whole leg and not just pieces.

I've been looking forward to this game way more than the other one and I'm not an NFC guy.  I just think the story is more compelling and it will be a more interesting game.

Pitts/Baltimore is going to be a 10-7 game with incessant slurping on Ben's superhuman size and strength and Ray Lewis' "leadership" while he goes into some kind of seizure on the sideline.

Ray Lewis will need to seizure out when Parker finds the endzone for the 5th time.

Boom mommafricker!  This is sweet!

Kurt Warner, Hall of Fame bound?  I've never really seriously thought of him for that, but he might deserve it for this playoff run alone.  Yeah, I know, the NFC is weak.  But they were completely written off three weeks ago.

Not that it's going to matter, but they need to take a fresh look at the stubip replay rules.

EVERYthing should be subject to review.

Certain things can't be, as when the whistle is blown play stops.  Ball out of bounds and I am sure a whistle was blown to signify that, hence not reviewable.  I agree that I think they blew the call though.

I sort of understand when a whistle blows a play dead, but isn't it ALL really a matter of determining if an official's judgment was correct?  How can one say what PART of their judgment is not subject to scrutiny?

I'd argue that the officiating has regressed since the institution of reviews.
I think the officials naturally and subconsciously use that replay as a crutch and it shows on a fricking horrible call like that. Unfortunately, even though a whistle had yet to blow, and the ball was already recovered and the play was over, you can't review the fricking play. Stupid. So we had to sit there and stare at the field for five minutes.

There is an official on that sideline for that exact purpose, how can he blow that call?

Now the booth's going to review this play that clearly isn't a catch.
I'm sure it will take a half hour to make sure, though.

Exactly, Colboar.  Review 'em all, or review 'em none.

And if you're gonna, then limit it to, say, 3 replays, rather than endless looks for several minutes.

Agree with everything you are saying.  The replay is kind of like having someone continually looking over your shoulder while you at work, just waiting for you to screw up.  Actually makes the officials hesitant to make the call.

I like the Cardinals' story this year and have family that lives in PHX and goes to games there but today I'm pulling for the Eagles and the "feelgood" story of Donovan and Reid finally winning the big one.

As opposed to the Warner feel good story and the Cardinals winning their first NFL championship since, what, 1947?  ;D

(I know, they're not going supposed to beat Pittsburg).

Why didn't AZ call a timeout after the sack?
Now they're going into the half on a 49 yd field goal attempt with an extra timeout in the trash.
I guess just because it was 3rd down, but still.

Arizona knows it ultimately doesn't matter due to the impending Super Bowl boofooing at the hands of Big Ben and the Invincibles.

Replay is one area where college football has the better system. All plays are reviewed by the booth, by a dedicated official who I presume is looking at a screen bigger than 12 inches, maybe even in HD. And they do actually keep in under 2 minutes. That call cost the Cards at least 3 points, probably 7, which would have almost put the game out of reach. Huge frick up.

Oh, Mangino to answer your question.
