Heard tonight at the basketball game we are switching to nike next year and the men's basketball team will be sponsored by team jordan.. apparently since joe johnson is a jordan wearer he has been pushing the company to sponser the hogs..pretty sweet if you ask me i hate that adidas crappola.. but has anyone else heard this?Huh

I hadn't heard about Joe Johnson's involvement but the word on the street, confirmed by a pretty knowledgeable source, is that we will be switching to Nike this coming summer.

I spoke with a freind who works for the baseball team and the school/Nike is trying to get them to go full Nike ie clothes, shoes, bats, gloves. The response from dvh - you cant recruite with Nike bats n gloves, kids dont want to play with that crap.

I'm sure they will work something out.

Plenty of Nike schools don't use Nike bats (Georgia, North Carolina), so hopefully DVH stands his ground on that.

This really needs to happen. The football team uni's are horrible as described in numerous threads.

Maybe Pel can get Marcus Jordan to transfer if we have "da shoes". Seeing pops on the sideline would be tits.

A major hangup with Nike is their stinginess.  Until they start bringing the goods like adidas does, there will be no switch.

Why do people keep saying this?  Oregon's biggest booster is the cofounder of Nike. Naturally they're going to get the perk (for lack of a better word) of having so many different uniform combination.

Do you see Oklahoma coming out with 20 different jerseys?


If/When we switch to Nike we will have one red, one white and probably (like it or not) one black.  Thas it.
