God news for Tulsa. When was the last time they had a coach they didn't have to worry about being hired away?

Is there not a Norm Stewart clone out there somewhere for Miszou to hire?
I'm sure there are plenty guys out there that could coach a team for 33 years and never reach a Final 4. All you need is time to accomplish that.

So I guess we've determined on the basketball hierarchy...

Arkansas>Tulsa>LOL MIZZ

Hope the garden gnome doesn't buy a house near my in-laws in Tulsa.  I'd hate to have to take a late night aMm on his front porch.  Or maybe I wouldn't...

Mizzou fans are happy, but let's see who they end up with.  Last time around it ended up pretty disappointing.

Still it's not good when two coaches from the SEC parachute out of the league. Both must have figured their teams would suck and they would lose their jobs in 2015. Haith was in over his head, Martin I think has a chance to become a good coach.
I totally yielded.

Haith is the one laughing here.  The best way to stay in college basketball longer than your coaching prowess would otherwise allow is to keep leaving for another DI job before the last team figures out you suck and fires you.  Haith is ahead of the curve on this one, though, I'm not sure where he goes after Tulsa.  Maybe A-State?

In my business the biggest challenge is finding young job candidates who if they will actually work, can construct an English sentence, perform simple algebraic logic, and can accept criticism to their fragile, public school induced, soccer mom polished, self-esteem.  Failure is the best teacher in life, and the best separator of the herd.  It's not surprising our schools have become this factory of failure; they are run by this cesspool of bruised egos, social misfits, and weak-spined socialists that were marginalized in high school and failed in real life.

There are a lot of similarities between Haith and a certain football coach we all know and loathe.

Yeah, except we wish he'd have been as ahead of the curve as Haith was.   O0

As I told someone yesterday, the feeling is the same (though the intensity obviously isn't):  I love the laugh I get at their fans' expense, but I hate that they get to upgrade the position now.

They have a chance to upgrade.  That doesn't mean they will upgrade.

Here's hoping they don't upgrade.

Who can they get at this point in the year? Established coaches aren't going to leave to take a chance at rebuilding at a mid-tier "football conference" school in April/May. Think they'll have to take a chance on an "up and coming" assistant.

They've hired three coaches since the Almighty Norm Stewart retired.

Quin Snyder
Mike Anderson
Garden Gnome Haith

Looks like about a 1 in 3 chance that they get it right.  Less than that probably because of the timing of Haith's departure and the condition in which he's leaving the program - practically void of talent.

How's our hiring track record looking since Nolan?

Tulsa is a larger city, therefore probably has more stores for elves.  I mean little "people".
LSU fans are tres gauche.
