Subliznime, you are a stubborn SOB, and for me to call someone else that is really something.  But you are exactly right.

Here's why the "football move" doesn't matter whatsoever.  He was falling down.  When a receiver falls after a catch he has to show the ref that he maintained control all the way to the ground.  He did not.  The fact that he is a crazy athlete and was able to stumble a couple of steps on the way down has no bearing.

as I went to the ground I rolled over and I tipped the ball to gain better control.. We lost and I accept it but please change that rule

I actually feel a little bad for Dez.  He seems to have finally reached his potential and looked like he really wanted to win, as opposed to just wanting good stats.  Then he made what could have been the play of the year in the NFL, only to have some stupid rule prevent him from doing that.

I can't say it's the rule, it is the interpretation of the rule.  The rule came about, in part, from Butch Johnson's touchdown "catch" against Denver, and I'm sure others since then.  He had the ball about .57 seconds.  No catch, but by the rules and interpretation of the time, it was a catch.

If Dez had rolled up and done the "pistols" thing like Butch Johnson it would not have been reversed.

Tired of talking about it. It will go into history with Jethro Pugh slipping on the ice, the Catch, the bad call on the Irvin-Deion play, and Crayton dropping a pass/giving up on a route.

Cowboys had to play perfect to win.  They did not.  Game was lost at the end of the half with the bad 3and 1 and missed field goal.

94-95 championship game.  cowboys went down 21-0 early and fought their way back.  Irvin got leveled at the goal line by Sanders with no PI call.  Switzer went nuts and chest bumped the ref.

Wait.  So Deion Sanders hit somebody?
