Still waiting for this state to produce a QB who can play in the NFL. I can't think of one. Ever.
Hire Nutt.

Arkansas has a pretty small population, and until the last 10~15 years most schools have been run-oriented.  You can see the progress of all skill level within the state as coaches are bringing in new ideas and installing more complex offenses and defenses both.  I think we are seeing better run strength and conditioning programs throughout the state as well.  We'll eventually see a talented kid find the right coach and it will all click, and I think it will happen sooner than later.
Someone keeps saying' I'm insane to complain about a shotgun wedding and a stain on my shirt.

He went by Lamar McHan, damn good quarterback for the Hogs in the early '50's.  Drafted high and played in the AFL and NFL.  Played some for the Packers but Bart Starr came along about that time.

He sure did, and so did Mike Kirkland now that you mention it.  I think I got ahold of a tainted list.

Not yet he doesn't.  How many games has he played?  It could theoretically be 3 years before he plays in the first half of a regular season game.
I am not claiming I am right, I am saying I don't get it.

I think they can qualify if they either were born in Arkansas, went to HS in Arkansas, or played for an Arkansas college.

With those parameters, I'd say Joe Ferguson, irregardless of his Louisiana roots, is an Arkansas QB who had a solid and very long NFL career.

Scott Bull played on the Niners three seasons.

And how does one classify Mr. Tavaris Jackson?

he was the 2nd pick

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1954_NFL_Draft

Bobby Garrett was the #1 overall pick that year.  Here's how his career panned out, according to Wikipedia:

Robert Driscoll "Bobby" Garrett (born August 16, 1932 in Los Angeles, California) was an American football quarterback who played one season in the National Football League.

Garrett was an All-American quarterback at Stanford University, where he also starred as a defensive back. In 1953, he became the third person to receive the W.J. Voit Memorial Trophy as the outstanding football player on the Pacific Coast. After being was named most valuable player of the Hula Bowl, he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns as the first overall selection in the 1954 NFL Draft. The Browns had needed someone to take over for the veteran Otto Graham, but they soon discovered that Garrett had a liability as a quarterback: he stuttered, which made calling plays difficult.

Garrett never played a game for the Browns, who traded him along with halfback Don Miller and linemen Johnny Bauer and Chet Gierula to the Green Bay Packers for quarterback Babe Parilli and offensive tackle Bob Fleck. The Packers wanted a backup for veteran Tobin Rote, but did not learn of Garrett's stuttering problem before making the trade. Garrett played just nine games in the NFL.

He made TIME's list of Top 10 NFL Draft flops.

Top 10

Not entirely accurate, and doesn't really portray what Nutt did to him.
