Shaw upstaged Garcia against KY. Spurrier finally saw his chance to finally break free of the drunk.
celebrityhottub On an entirely unrelated note, congratulations to whichever one of Spurrier's daughters is unexpectedly pregnant.Media guys on twitter are now saying he failed an alcohol test week. Nice work dude. It's really a sad ending to this whole saga.
It's interesting that he failed last week and got benched....but didn't actually kick him off until Shaw had a good game. Makes you wonder if he would have just been benched but kept as backup if Shaw had sucked.
You're reaching. I think Spurrier was doing his best people heppin' too, and some people just can't be hepped. As Dear Abby used to say, "fool me once shame on you, fool me 126 times shame on, what was the question?"
How am I reaching? They knew last week he failed the test, yet he was still on the sidelines saturday. If they were really kicking him off no matter what, he wouldn't have been there saturday.
You're not reaching. You ruined my perfectly timed, and repeated joke. No doubt in my mind Garcia flunked a drug test, but Spurrier waited to see if new guy could perform at an unembarrassing level.
After that 56-3 beatdown by Auburn Saturday he will be known only as Bert until he wins an SEC title. That is the only way he gets back in teh good graces enough to be called by the name his momma gave him.
ESPN says he tested positive for alcohol and marijuana. I didn't know Garcia had a son, which makes all this a little less funny. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7088804/south-carolina-gamecocks-dismiss-oft-suspended-stephen-garcia
