That's the game where the 32-year old Major Olgavey sp? ran all over us.

See it all again:

I was an 11 year old at that game and I don't remember Bama running all over us. Olgilvie had 2 TD's and 67 yards rushing. Bama finished with 354 total yards and we had 342. The game was 17-9 Bama in the 4th when we pinned them back at their 2 yard line. a 98 yard TD drive sealed the game for Bama.

Exactly.  That was a 12-0 national championship Bama team - one of the best (though boring) - college teams I've ever seen.  If Hosea Taylor of Houston's helmet had been two sizes smaller, we would have been undefeated and in the Cotton Bowl.  That was two great teams and, as noted, a one TD difference with Bama on their 2 in the 4th quarter before THAT DRIVE.

If somebody wants to say "Bama kicked our ass," well, it's a free country but I have to wonder if we watched the same game.

I was at that game, and Bama did dominate us.  I remember whenever they punted and had two players inside the 5 yard line ready to catch or down the ball.  I never felt we were in the game.

I do remember that this was the first time I at a football game that I could order mixed drinks in the stadium.

Tonight is the 2007 LSU game. Memorable if for nothing more than being the last game Dale coached at Arkansas.  :worship:

Finally get to enjoy the game...though sideline shots will be tough.

I remember watching this game with a friend of mine that was still in the dark about just how horrible Nutt was. Every time I would point out something stupid that nutt did like taking an ill advised timeout and then completely fricking up coming out of the timeout I would complain and he would say "Davis, enough with the negativity man. You gotta be a fan!"  ::)

I've done nothing but sit here and shake my head about how shitty we were. And then we throw a pass for 4 yards on 3rd and 8.  :suicide:

At the risk of a derail, I would love to climb in the DeLorean and not only travel back in time but also to a parallel universe and see what BMFP could have done with a team that included Mustain, Damian Williams, Monk, McFadden, Jones and Hillis.

Run on 1st, Run on 2nd, Run on 3rd and then stick Casey Dick in on 3rd down. Pass broken up. Punt.

Rinse

Repeat

I noticed that too and the only reason he got it was because he made a heads up play and moved away from the coverage. Guarantee you he wasn't coached to do that.

"Hootie in his 10th year, could this be his last regular season game?"

Man, that's some serious fricking foreshadowing from a national announcer, they don't say aMm like that without knowing something.  I don't remember, was it that obvious?

There was a LOT of talk that week about it being his last game. He was just commenting on that.

I do not miss Alex Tejada.  I caught myself holding my breath every time he lined up.

Also I do not miss Tim Tebow references.

lol @ Kansas being number 2
