Be prepared for a pretty good defense stuffing OU to the point of embarassment.

Barry was quickly reminded that none of our injuries or suspensions related to defensive players.  (Well, Dale White was hurt but he had already missed some games.  And his backup won Lineman of the Game).

This is the defense that held Texas and OU (#1 & #2 at the beginning of the day) to one touchdown each.  A pretty salty bunch.

Me too and I remember sitting next to a Hog fan from Pennsylvania.  He was offering me booze straight from his bottle and I was accepting.  This told me something about true Razorback fans.

This is where I went wrong with Hurtt.

Could be wrong here, but I think it's only available on KARZ in Central Arkansas.

I remember watching the orange bowl on tv, when I was 8, but all I really remember is the Disney half time show.

I remember it vaguely too.  Whatever happened to Roland Sales?  Damn it's nice to see us have a defense.  These boys in the last classic games look bigger than the ones we have now.  Maybe it's just the tv, but they look bigger and faster.

He had a decent year the next year and was drafted by the Browns. Didn't do much in the NFL.

Watch our O-line knock these fuckers off the ball.  Pretty impressive considering the all-americans they had up front.

Help us out history buffs.  Was this Nutt's last game before he slumped out in the middle of the night?

Fun fact from listening to the broadcast. Our basketball team was undefeated at the time.

I've tried the googles with no success.  Can anyone post a link to where they went round table after the suspensions and Sales talked about sacking groceries?  I'll by pass the screen door for a storm door.

One more fun fact. They just gave credit to Bob Carver for helping with getting Sales' rushing total right.

Watch our O-line knock these frickers off the ball.  Pretty impressive considering the all-americans they had up front.

We had All-Americans, too.  Greg Kolenda was All American  I THINK Burt Locke made an AA team or two by the time he graduated.  Rick Shumaker was All-SWC first team 2 years.

Missing the game for injuries was Leotis Harris, All-American and 6 years with the Packers.

his wasn't "poor lil Arkinsaw" catching lightening in a bottle.  This was one great, very talented team kicking the ass of another great team.

Colonel Reb was a good handeroffer.
His Orange Bowl pass was indicative of his entire short lived college QB career.

The best memory of this game was all the smack OU was dishing out during game week. Especially Lott. It was great to see him eat ish after the game.

A good ol' fashioned athletic dorm gang bang!  Just some good ol' boys, just having some fun.  Beat anything you saw, been in trouble with the law, since the day they were born.

Probably the first in a proud tradition of gang bangs down in Wilson Sharpe.
