We're ranked at the same position, #14, in the AP, and up one spot to #12 in the coach's poll.

according to teh twitter, we fell to 18th in the coaches poll. A&M fell to 13th.

OU is 1, Bama & LSU tied for 2.

It must be the wish of JJ to play at 11 then. A matchup of top 20 teams isn't what CBS wants?  To take Dead Trees?
You only have to be the best team today.

The Sooners staying at #1 would be laughable and just illustrate the stupidity of the process.

The team that the Hogs played yesterday would eat up and aMm out Oklahoma and Boise State and leave their quarterbacks in a wheelchair.   OU apparently struggled to beat Mizzou, at home.

LSU is now #1. Aggies are 14th.  We are 18th with the likes of Baylor & S Florida ahead of us.

Strangely, I can live with 18th.  Every game we win from here on out will knock OU further from the #1 spot, assuming Bama keeps winning.

It will work itself out.  I'm happy with our ranking and momentum.

Michigan made a very ordinary, traditional Michigan hire with Hoke.  He'll never do much beyond keep them in the upper half of the Big 10 and they are slowly losing recruiting lifelines.  He's a Michigan Man all the way and they'll run that course for half a decade, especially once OSU hits the skids too with sanctions.

I just get sick of the national media love fest of Notre Dame, Michigan, and USC-W.

Michigan beats five shitty teams and a semi shitty Notre Dame, and are on the verge of the top ten.

Notre Dame wins eight games last year, and for the whole fricking off season their cawks are sucked non stop by everyone until they prove they still suck with an opening season loss to USF.

I garenfuckingtee you that with USC-W coming off sanctions next year and finally off their bowl ban that they will be a pre season top ten team in every fricking poll and we will hear all off season about how they are "back"

I won'y lose a minute of sleep over this, but here is all the proof you need most national sports writers were in the band and the drama club (NTTIAWWT):

A$M has only lost to #6 & #10 and they stay in at #21.  Fine.

Florida has only lost to #1 and #2 and drops all the way out.  ???

It probably has to do with how each team lost those games.  Florida was never in those games, and looked completely outmanned.  A&M should be undefeated. Not that it makes their rankings correct though, but probably their line of thinking.

Another example of a team that should be ranked behind Florida is Dead Trees.  Dead Trees lost to at the time unranked Clemson.  Their second loss was to us (#10) yesterday and they're ranked #24 in today's rankings

Per ESPiN--

Florida is out of The Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Not just the Gators -- the entire state.

For the first time since Dec. 6, 1982, no Sunshine State team was among the AP rankings on Sunday, marking the end of 472 straight polls where either Florida, Florida State or Miami -- and usually all three -- were on the list.

BCS false start TV program on ESPN tonight.

Craig James has Michigan above us at #10
Robert Smith has us at #10
Herbie has us at #9 :shocker:
The "pre" BCS has G tech at 10, Michigan at 9.  A lot of rearrangements of the other top ten teams, but no other major surprises.  I am a little surprised at the love from Herbie for us being at #9.  He usually picks us to lose every game.  He says the LSU game will be very interesting.  seems to think we should be able to roll in with only 1 loss.  I like this expectation.   O0

I read this a lot but I don't actually see it.  Maybe I'm misremembering but I think he was the only one of the ESPN Gameday experts to pick us to beat aTm.

Considering how many injuries the Hogs have, this off-week is well timed even if off-weeks suck in general.  It doesn't help that there are appear to be only two games that provide a real opportunity for an upset of a top 10 team and a chance for the Razorbacks to move up in the polls.  Them's the hazards of being ranked this high.  :sarcasm:

Guess we will just have to enjoy the pounding that Ole Miss is going to take from Alabama.  I will also be cheering for Dead Trees and aTm to win this weekend as well.

10th in Coaches':http://woopig.net/board/index.php?action=post;quote=1429899;topic=76058.75;last_msg=1429899

Assuming we keep winning....

...we will move ahead of Stanford/Oregon when they play in a few weeks.
...we will move ahead of Clemson when they lose to Ga Tech, South Carolina, or VT in the ACC Championship (or Starkville...Wake or UNC...you know their derp is coming)
...I don't see OSU losing until OU in the last week.

After that, it starts getting really difficult to move up. We'll probably be somewhere around 7 when we play LSU unless all Starkville breaks loose.

We're #10 in AP.  K state moves up to 12.  WTF?  aTm is #17, Dead Trees #19, Georgia t-24.

I like the fact that boise is down to #7 in the Coaches poll.

I'll take it. We are set up to be this year's version of Stanford last year.
