Football Operations Center Update (Now With More Webcam!)

Arkansas is getting closer to its total fundraising goal for a future football operations center and practice fields.

Money from a variety of sources have helped the athletic department hit $28.4 million in funds that are earmarked for the operations center project. That total includes a $10 million challenge grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation and $18.4 in donations and at least a portion of money generated by a new seat-licensing program for football season tickets. Arkansas needed to raise at least $10 million in order for the Reynolds grant money to be available.

Total cost of the project including an elevated practice field over an existing parking lot is expected to reach $35 million. The football center alone is estimated at $28 million [Click here to see a slideshow of renderings of what the center will look like].

they are still doing underground work on the east side of the practice fields by barnhill.  i think the real heavy work is supposed to start around october 1st.

An elevated practice field?  I'm not google muthafuckering but that sounds like a first.  Also, I'm guessing one of those would make it difficult to spy on practices.

Not as impressive as it sounds but it still looks pretty sweet.  Gotta watch out for those jump balls in the south end zones though.

there are a couple other schools with elevated practice facilities.  i think kansas is one of them.

Peanut Adams could get someone killed.  Or maybe we could send Reggie Fish deep.

My gosh, the Clol. looks like he's getting ready to reinact the Ryan's Steakhouse story.
