I'll race Flounder today in my 9 year old Merc; it's only a little C-class, not much of a threat.

$500 cash on the barrelhead, fucko.  Come get it.

That's nice.

I had a conversation with the manager of a BMW dealership about this.  They fall apart.  They had a major transmission flaw for quite a while, don't know if it's been fixed in the last 3-4 years.

VW's and Audi's have had quirky electrical problems for quite some time. I never had any problems with my 328 or 330. Frankly I wouldn't buy any German car right now.

I haven't had any problems on a couple of Audi cars.  Can't say the same for friends with bmw's.  Friends with 28i, 30, 335i, m3 and m5 and all but the m5 have had random problems.  Maybe just bad luck or that they are mostly Asians.  The new vp just got a new s5 and she loves it.  Friends with amg S63 and amg g55 have no problems

I'd take an M3 over anything Merc makes under $100k which is nearly twice as much as the M3.

I'll take this bet,too; do I get a C63 AMG Development/Black which hits at just under $70k?

Top Gear tested the M3 vs. the C63 AMG in 2007.  The Merc won the drag race, but the M3 bested the Merc by 5 seconds around the track with ex-Stig Ben Collins driving both cars.  Read his accounts of driving both cars...http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504388

From a driving standpoint (and I have driven both), I prefer the M3.  I could care less about winning a drag race.  You don't need to spend $70k to do that.

Having driven and ridden in both,  I'll take the amg all day as an adult.  Class, refinement and status the m3 doesn't Dave.  M6... I like that.

Maybe I'm just older and like the s63 over the m3

Through all of this pissing contest, I would like to know the logistics of him even fitting in a BMW 3 series.  Or Starkville, a Yukon for that matter.  He looks like he ate a mattress.
Maybe Flounder has the Pica.

From the Wikis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder)

Pica ( /?pa?k?/ py-k?) is a medical disorder characterized by an appetite for substances largely non-nutritive (e.g., metal, clay, coal, sand, dirt, soil, feces, chalk, pens and pencils, paper, batteries, spoons, toothbrushes, soap, mucus, latex gloves, ash, gum, lip balm, tacks and other office supplies, etc.)[1][2] For these actions to be considered pica, they must persist for more than one month at an age where eating such objects is considered developmentally inappropriate. The name of the condition originates from the Latin word for magpie, a bird that is reputed to eat almost anything.[3] Pica is seen in all ages, particularly in pregnant women, small children, and those with developmental disabilities.
He who learns must suffer. And in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus

I had some issues with the A4 and S4 I had.

Can't say i'm surprised, the M3 has always had exceptional handling.

That is a more accurate picture of World Wide Flounder.  His glamour shot actually is quite flattering.  He's one exceptionally giant tub of lard.

I'm familiar with the tests; I also know there's absolutely no real-world scenario where track times come into play.  Top Gear does plenty of drag tests as well.

But, again, I'll take the new C63 Black happily; Starkville, I'll take a used C55 against the current M3.

The fact the Malzahn willingly associates with someone like Flounder tells me that he is not the guy I used to think he was.

Problem is Malzahn will not associate with Flounder...he simply wants some of the guys that Flounder "handles"....it is a well known fact in the Springdale circles that Malzahn does not like Flounder. Until he handled Dyer and Frazier he had not spoken to Gus since High School....Malzahn, Wood and other Shiloh and Springdale coaches blacklisted Walter due to his work on Fearless Friday.

Ummm no. As someone who has owned BMW's, Audi's and VW's, I can tell you that even though they have their issues, the 3 series is still better made than Audi or VW. We've had no issues with my wife's X3. There are people that just want the brand but there are plenty of people who buy the 3 series because of how much fun it is to drive, the Passat is not even close to being on par with the 3 series in terms of performance. For somebody looking for a Sports Sedan, I can definitely recommend the Infiniti G37. It's way more reliable than any German car and it's a real Sports Sedan like the 3 series. I've had one now for 6 months now and it's a blast to drive, in fact I like it better than the Audi S4 I once had.
This is true...the day dad brought home his G37, my brother flipped it three times and totaled it in a ditch.  He said it went pretty fast and he climbed out without a scratch.   :stunned:
