What a fricking tool.  That guy came on here a long time ago and asked people to call him Tweeder.  As in Charlie Tweeder from Varsity Blues.   :maundoed:

Cue the NuttCracker Suite.  My favorite seasonal accompaniment.  However, instead of Tchaikovsky's orchestral arrangement, think a cigarette-smoking monkey cranking it out on a music box on the corner of Beale St and 3rd.

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies.  Indeed.

I can't see Hootie going to Memphis knowing that they'll have to play money games against SEC teams. I don't think his pride would allow it.

Why not?  He's already got the built in excuses, "best conference in America",  "I coached there 14 years", "The Firm makes it so hard to recruit here".
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

One benefit of Hootie going to Mempho is that while it is a step-down in program and conference, it is a major step up in media market.  Hoot and the Mrs Nutt have never lived in this big a city.  Hilarity will ensue thus guaranteeing this thread for years.

Think of the media scrutiny when HD3 is arrested cruising the wrong side of Overton Park, Danny puking brain blood down in Tunica, Donna sneaking her tennis instructor in the back door, Hoot abusing Elvis.  This would be fun. Please Jesus make it happen!

BTW, the Nafoomers are very sensitive to the fact we were right all along.  Pointing that out to them is guaranteed to get a rise, along the likes of 'go frick your sister'.  Nop real argument anymore, and they don't like being reminded THEY were the dumbasses.

I wonder if Nutt and his crew are interested in returning to the Pacific Northwest?  Looks like Paul Wulff and his 9-40 record could be out the door today at Washington State.  Much like Ole Miss, WSU hasn't been very good in the past decade and is probably desperate to find somebody to win quick, no matter the cost.

Wulff likely out at WSU, Mike Leach a top target.

Yeah, we're just obsessed with Nutt according to them.

No humor in them getting fricked over exactly like we told them they would, no.  None at all.

Only thing funnier would be him taking the Memphis job and trying to steal their recruits.

Pro wrasslin' being the number one sport in Mempho and all, maybe his next gig will be jumping off the turnbuckle onto Jerry the King Lawler in a Elvis suit.

Maybe he and Dannytard can be like Don and Al Green, or Jackie and Roughhouse Fargo.  Or Professor Tanaka and Tojo Yamamoto, who used to drop by the original Dyer's hamburger shack on Cleveland and carb up on beer and greasy burgers berfore a match.

Houston Nutt is now a candidate at UCLA, Arizona State, Illinois, Memphis, and anywhere else the AD picks up the phone.

If he goes to Memphis he has to be doing it solely so that his entourage have jobs.  There's no way he has any motivation to coach there.

stupid question, but in his buyout clause is there any stipulation about taking another job?  You know, sometimes that will exist.  May have been discussed before & I missed it.  if So off with the porkula in the screen door.

If you analyze the geography involved, his past stops as a head coach form a pretty obvious pattern.  I see him more likely to end up in the Rust Belt or Pacific Northwest, based on these trends.  Eastern Canada is, theoretically speaking, in the mix as well.

If you go in order (MS, BS, UA, OM) Jacksonville State could be in the mix.  Maybe even Alabama.

If you go in chronological order, you go from MS to Boise, to UA, to OM, to Memphis, he's headed toward Northeast Arkansas.

retirement in J-Town perhaps?
