And another BCS bowl with a #23 West Virginia vs. #15 Clemson.

I think it's time we all come to an agreement that making a BCS bowl isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be.  It's nice, sure, but really, the Cotton Bowl has #6 vs. #8, it's in a great time slot, and it's the only game on at that time.  I'll take it in a heartbeat.

So called BCS don't mean aMm. Herby polishing a turd talking about V-Tech and Michigan, West Vagina and Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Cotton Bowl with us has as much prestige as any of them. (Cowboy State and Stanford excluded)

2 BCS games without a single team in the top 10. A fricking crime against humanity.

Well, the Cotton wants to be the added BCS bowl if they ever expand the number.  It looks like this year they have a better matchup than at least 2 of them.

Texas was 24th in the final BCS standings.  Unbelievable.

If I read the BCS computers right, two of them have Texass ranked 13.

The Cotton Bowl should be renamed "We're Butthurt We're Not in the BCS."  Both teams' fans seem displeased; Arkansas slightly less only because we've been in this situation for weeks and had time to adjust.  But the K State fans?  Oh man are they tasting their bitter tears.

Michigan vs. Virginia Tech is criminal  It's like picking teams for the NIT.

Well if New Orleans politics are involved...

The Sugar people have to be embarrassed.  frick the NC game, this is the game you point to in showing just how terrible (and comical) the BCS system is.  Both of these teams suck balls.

BCS Bowls should be for BCS top 10 ranked teams. End of story.

LSU vs Alabama

Oklahoma St. vs Stanford

Oregon vs Arkansas

Boise St. vs Kansas St.

South Carolina vs Wisconsin

Conference tie-ins, winning your conference title, only two teams per conference. It's stupid.

You pick the one right tool.

No doubt. Its a great match up. Shame its not happening in Miami or New Orleans.

Can Kniles play in the Cotton and it not count towards his medical waiver?

All about cash.  They can't have 4 SEC teams in BCS cause all the monies go to the SEC.  Thus the SEC would continue to get stronger and before long all other conferences would become 2nd tier, even though that's what they are.

There isn't a medical involved.  He has five years to play four.  He won't be here that long.

Winning your conference title doesn't matter.  Virginia Tech, Stanford, and Michigan made it in.  That's pathetic.

You're exactly right.  Nobody had to do anything, the BCS system made itself and BCS bowls a JOKE.  Completely irrelevant.  If you don't have an opportunity to play for the national title in the postseason then it doesn't mean aMm anyway.

With the poor ratings and money lost and integrity of the games compromised it's the only way we might get a playoff.

Love how ESPN says we won the 2010 Liberty Bowl.. 2011 BCS erased from our history.

Of course.. K-State gets all the love  :suicide:

Some of you act like this year is the first year anyone has been fricked out of a Bcs game. Clearly the same system that doesn't mind ranking us highly has no problem fricking itself by installing inclusive rules that have no intention of putting the best ranked against each other. We know this and until the rules are changed that make more practical sense we will never see a system any better. This reminds me of the bank commercial..."its what they do, just except it man".
I totally yielded.

Oh, you're absolutely right. It's all about money or how that money is dispersed.

I just don't understand why they, whoever "they" are, bother to rank a team in the BCS top 10 when there's no chance that team will play in a BCS Bowl.

4 of the BCS top 10 are in lesser bowls. Doesn't make sense.

Take the conferences from teh top 25 and split all bowl revenue equally...then take the best fricking teams to the best fricking bowls. Or get a gawd damn playoff like every other college football division.

Herbie did point this fallacy out, & discussed va tech.  The big BCS loser is the Texas league.  They only get 1 at large bid, and va tech takes the 2nd BCS bid for the ACC.  This reaks, especially after all of the "big12 is the 2nd best conference" BS.  That & Texas still in the top 25 BCS is total hypocrisy.

BCS "experts" have called the Texas League the tougher conference most of the year.

They did finally come around the last couple of weeks though.  Couple that with 2 of their teams coming to the SEC, they finally realized it was a dumb statement.
