Mike Pereira vs. Jon Gruden
« on: December 30, 2011, 12:29:21 PM »

Pereira raked Gruden over the coals in an online article about Gruden's lack of knowledge of the rules.

Gruden seemed to be a decent coach, but I don't care for him much on the MNF broadcasts, as the times that I'm watching I've never really seen him add a lot of incisive analysis.  Rather, he just sort of spouts off cliches and things like that that don't really add any value to the telecast.

But, anyway, here goes . . .

I am not a fan of Gruden’s. Not today, not yesterday, not when I worked for the NFL and not when I was working on the field as a side judge. He was a loudmouth as a coach who constantly disrespected officials and he is a blowhard in the broadcast booth who spouts off when he doesn’t know what he is talking about.

I haven't cared for him since he started doing those puff-piece interviews for ESPN. He had an opportunity to have a fairly interesting (for espn) show and spent the whole time fellating his interviewees. He doesn't deserve to be on TV if that is his best.

The part about disrespecting the officials, thats just a given!

Looks like the only "analysis" we'll get on MNF in the upcoming season is from Gruden.

Ron Jaworski off MNF broadcasts.

Looks like we won't get any "analysis" this year on MNF.
