I never once thought he would go this year.
I think because of his mobility, he's better than Mallet, but even with that, I think another year and he significantly increases his draft position.  Hope he gets a shot to develop on a winning franchise, as in 3 to 5 years he good be fantastic.

He's definitely giving himself a shot to go #1, which he could never hope for with all the Luck love going around.  But I still think he could be the 2nd or 3rd QB off the board this year.  I'm not saying that he's that valuable, and I'm certainly not gonna say he's better than Mallett.  But I think he's at least as good as Sam Bradford, and probably has a better arm.

Maybe Mallett's freefall makes Arkansas QBs a little hesitant to believe the hype.
Everything was better in the '90s, including me.

Tyler deserves a thread even if it's on Ar Media Time.

Great news. Gotta wonder if Brandon Mitchell was hoping otherwise.

Why wouldn't he?   ???

he's also shown that he is waaaay more durable.

Why? So Brandon Allen could slide in front of him?

Great news for us, and should be the right decision for Wilson.   With Sanchez and other less college experienced QBs having challenges, Wilson needs a second year.  This year, Luck and RG3 have the hype; next year he has a year to improve, and possibly play for a NC.

Tank wright made DE all bowl team for espn.

He was a beast this year.  Is there any more news on the tweets from him?  I sure hope he doesn't leave early.

How would you describe Tyler's throwing motion? I don't hear it discussed much, or maybe I just don't listen, but it seems different than most QB's. Might just be me.

Throws like a short stop.  He is very Farveish in his QB play.

Have you ever seen it? On teevees - in person - on replay  ???

TEH Petrino says he can throw from the ball from any situation. And I agree, Tyler can make throws on the run (left or right), falling backwards, or standing still. Now, he does not have the deep ball accuracy that Mallett had, but it is not turrible.

Yes. I have a television.

His throwing motion seems unorthodox. I don't hear it discussed much but I find myself focusing on it. Guess it doesn't matter.

ESPN actually gave Tyler top billing over Trent Richardson (who also got an interview) on yesterday's College Football Live.  He was the big story on the lead ins.  Color me surprised.  Handled himself like a franchise qb during the phone interview.  Respect.

Also, Knile's decision was a leading story on Thursday's show.  Hogs getting some love and maybe an early kick for the preseason polls?

Exactly. He put in his paperwork to see what was what. If I thought I had a chance to ever play in the NFL, I'd do the same. Doesn't mean I'm going to go right then.

The fricking media had to make a big deal about it.

Especially the "grumblings out of Arkansas" comment. They all but said he was leaving. The next day he said he was staying. Too funny!

If he were to leave, more power to him. It gives Hog fans reason to follow another NFL team.

grudenvillehomeofthedregsands impletons poster said he was talking about the seniors leaving and that Tank isn't going anywhere.  FWIW.

As long as the ball gets out quick and accurately I don't think anyone really cares.

Reminds me a bit of Brister...
