Sounds like an Alabama fan.
She only choked a child. She didn't shoot a family member.

Pretty sad for the tourists that died; I hope that cruiseline had it's insurance payments current.

That saved me from ever having to take a cruise with the wife or the wife and kids on one of those Disney floating zoos.

I like San Francisco & New England.
Which means, put your money on the Giants and Ravens...

So what's the deal with Mallett? Bust or too early to tell?

The Niners D looks like it will be scary for years.  I think they will handle Eli.  The good thing I saw was the return of some defense in deciding thes games.

What's with these DC's calling timeouts near the end of halves?  Williams and Capers did it and should be shot. Run the fricking clock down.

I think this weekend answered a question.  Despite the most fervent wishes and prayers of most sportswriters and rules makers, defense still wins in football.  Offense is fun to watch, and fun to write about, and fun to try to favor with rules that make trying to stop it harder and harder, but even teams with the best offenses can't hang with teams with the best defenses.  Not when its all on the line, one game, one shot.

And, once again, the team with the most passing yards in the league is not going to win the Super Bowl.

This doesn't hurt too bad, because I knew, in my heart, that it would take a miracle for GB to repeat.  Their defense is sad.  I mean, 32 of 32?  That automatically ranks it with some of the worst defenses of all time.  All it took was ONE off day by the offense, and the Emperor had no clothes.

And, I have never heard the home crowd boo the Packers before.

I googlemf'erd the Patriot's roster and saw where Ryan has not played one dadgum snap. I guess when you have Tom Brady why would you give anyone else some snaps? Maybe he'll get a ring out of it anyway.
Also saw where they have a guy from UCA on the prcatice squad, Markell Carter. Do practice squad guys get rings?

Yeah they were great, got 5 turnovers and New Orleans still scored 32 on them, including what should have been the game losing drive with 1:35 to go.  If New Orleans D does anything decent on that last drive we're talking about how the San Fran defense cost them the game, not how scary they are.  Alex Smith of all people bailed the defense out.

A great defensive team with a shitty offense doesn't win any more games than a great offensive team with a shitty defense.  At least not on the pro level.

The Division playoffs just finished disagree.

Edit:  Sorry if I gave the impression I was talking about "games".  I be talking Championships.

Which of the teams that won this past weekend have a shitty offense statistically?

Actually I should just come out and say only 1 team won this weekend with what you could call a shitty offense.  And ironically it was that's team's offense that bailed out it's defense when it folded down the stretch.

Speaking of which, I'm setting the O/U for the round that J. Wright gets drafted by New England at 4.5.  I hate the fricking Patriots so I don't want this to happen but it just seems inevitable.  At least the band (well the lead singer and the drummer) will be back together.

They've got to show him off if they are going to use him for trade bait so it looks like another year bundled up. Hope he gets a ring out of it.

Brian Hoyer the 2nd string guy is a free agent this year so we'll know a lot more after we see what New England does with him.

This lady REALLY wanted the Packers to make the Super Bowl.
