College Baseball Week 2

Arkansas has 5 games this week, all at home:

Tuesday - Northwestern State - 3pm
Wednesday - Northwestern State - 3pm
Friday - Valparaiso - 3pm
Saturday - Valparaiso - 1pm
Sunday - Valparaiso - 1pm

After 1 week Arkansas ranks 3rd nationally in attendance (tickets sold), behind LSU and South Carolina.

Matt Reynolds was named the SE Baseball player of the week.  http://sebaseball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1333734

"Reynolds batted .800 (8-for-10) with five runs scored, two doubles and three RBI in the Razorbacks three-game sweep of Villanova at Baum Stadium. He recorded a 1.000 slugging percentage (10 total bases) and a .846 on-base mark. He added three walks and two stolen bases and handled all six chances in the field without an error.

He recorded a pair of three-hit games and led the Razorbacks with three multi-hit games over the weekend. Reynolds was 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the season opener and capped he weekend by going 3-for-4 with one double and two RBI as UA completed the sweep."

Reynolds had a great summer (hit .322 in the Cape) so it's nice to see that carrying over. We really need him to hit in the middle of our lineup this year. He is a phenomenal defensive player too.

According to the NWST release, we are starting Brandon Moore on Tuesday and freshman Greg Milhorn on Wednesday.

The rotation for this weekend is Baxendale, Stanek, Fant.
