Here's what's funny. They were hand sewn in a factory in the middle of North Carolina. I've been laughing all week thinking about the irony of that one.

Chick in Office Depot asked me about my "Alabama" cap today.

The first person who says to me "HEY! I didn't know Alabama had a hockey team!" is getting punched in the mouf.

Well, they all deserve criticism for one reason or the other, and all who had a hand for all the dogbone logos and popcorm snot hog should be put in stocks on the public square and humiliated, but the "athletic modified Olde English 'A'" predates 2000 by several decades. I know every "official" Razorback baseball cap I've owned or seen since the late 70's has had that "A."

I don't recall it being confused with the bama "A" until we joined the SEC. Even then, they don't look much alike at all when viewed side by side. If they wanted to distinguish it a ittle more, they could duplicate the Oakland "A." It wouldn't be much of a change, really.

The only "A" on the cap I had seen before 2000, was the Hog jumping through the "A". That would definitely, and should distinguish ourselves from the rest of the country.

Awaiting an update from the vendor. They should have gotten final payment by now, and the blacks should be on the move.

For the record, the team will start next season in the snazzy new duds woopig donated. We're still good.

Same reason every other team is allowed corporate sponsors to place logos, but hockey isn't. Same reason Dr. Pepper's offer to donate $5000 in exchange for a logo on the ice(third party ice rink) was rejected.

My theory is they're discriminating against the hockey team.
