« on: February 21, 2012, 10:57:20 AM »
this weekend in Lexington.

Nationally, the men are ranked #1 and the women are ranked #4 (LSU women ranked #2).

I'm not sure what this is trying to say: Tennessee has won a league-leading 12 SEC Indoor Championships, while Arkansas has won 17 of the last 20 league indoor team crowns.

It probably means that ours doesn't count. Wouldn't be fair.

I'm going to need to see pictures of our Lady Razorback pole vaulters before I can make a ruling on this.

Its been updated and now says Tennessee has won 18.
Do strippers in the southern hemisphere spin around their poles in the opposite direction as strippers in the northern hemisphere?

Do the ones before we got there really count?

Arkansas's Tina Sutej sets a new collegiate record in the women's pole vault at 4.55m/14-11. She also became the first person in SEC history to win three consecutive indoor SEC women's pole vault titles.

Whitney Jones of Searcy, Ark., wins the SEC indoor long jump title, the program's 50th SEC indoor event title

I'm one of them.   Anyone who has followed the track program in the slightest knows Buck was the wrong guy for the job.  Dick Booth was screwed by Bucknam, and the Arkansas Athletic program.  Edrick Floreal would have been a better choice, too.  Things didn't turn out the way Coach McDonnell wanted.  For all that he did for our athletic department, he was owed that.  Starkville, for all Dick Booth did for our program, he was owed better than to be fired, and thereby forced to move away from his dying father.

Bucky winning an SEC championship or two will not change the fact that he was the wrong person for the job.  That kind of thinking would be like saying Hootie should have been the Arkansas coach forever since he was able to win a game here or there.

No. And that's the thing. Success in our men's track program is measured with national championships.

I'm happy to get the SEC title and our team this year is very good (women are too), but they need to bring home the big trophy.
