Better put it down somewhere because Pat Head won't remember it if we don't discuss it.

First ever win in Knoxville.
Snaps 18 game skid vs the Lady Vols.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.. – Sarah Watkins hit a layup with eight seconds on the clock forcing overtime with the game tied at 62, and Lyndsay Harris hit two in overtime giving the University of Arkansas a 72-71 win in overtime over No. 9/11 Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., Thursday.

The win moves Arkansas 21-6 overall and 10-5 in the SEC as the Razorbacks won in Knoxville for the first time in program history.

The Razorbacks hit the final four points and held Tennessee scoreless late for the win.

“They came out and played four-minute games and just never gave up,” said Arkansas head coach Tom Collen.  “We shot 50 percent from the floor and we picked a good time to do it.”

Harris paced Arkansas with 20 points and Watkins had 18.  Senior C’eira Ricketts added 16 in the win.

Arkansas’ first half effort was fantastic and they played themselves to a 31-26 lead at the break.  Harris had 11 points to lead all scorers in the first 20 minutes but Arkansas’ aggressive play racked up nine fouls.  The Razorbacks shot 57.9 percent in the first half hitting 11-of-19 shots and the Razorbacks did a good job defensively, holding Tennessee to 9-for-20 from the floor and forcing 10 Lady Vol turnovers.

Tennessee came out much more aggressive defensively in the second half and outscored Arkansas 36-31 in the second half but Watkins layup allowed Arkansas to hold on to the tie and force the extra period.

The Razorbacks finished the game hitting 25-for-50 from the floor and eight three pointers.  The win is Arkansas fourth of the season over a ranked opponent.

“It’s an outstanding win,” Collen said.  “I’m so proud of our players.  They proved to themselves they can play with anyone in the country.”

Arkansas travels to South Carolina Sunday closing out the SEC regular season.

I said thread.

Not a post buried in a thread about the men's team in a game they got dump trucked in.

Try to keep up.

Do they play annie over at the college level?   ???

This should make for interesting discussion.  Serious question.  Do you think that I could pull 4 other guys off woopig, given a resume of course, and beat the Ladybacks team right now?  B/c I know a group of guys, a couple of which have been mentioned on here before, that beat our Final Four team of '98 and they were average high school players back in the day.  That was 14 years ago, though, and I'm betting I would have to have a sub.  So make it 9 other guys.

Mycocksack?  What do you think?

I obviously have never seen y'all play but I have no doubts this could happen. I USED to run games for 2-3 hours 3-4 times a week at the HYPR back in late 80's/early 90's (haven't played any in about 6 years now) and play in those big 3 on 3 tourneys before they got out of control. We played a team with 2 guys and a 6' 4" 1st team All-American (from 2-3 years prior) woman on it. I'm 6' and I guarded her the whole time. She made 2 buckets. We won the game easily.

Any decent guy players can beat players like those on the Hog squad easily. Too strong and physical.

It's noted that your best UConn women's teams, some of the best ever in the college game, regularly practiced against men's intramural teams because it was better practice than scrimmaging intrasquad.

How disappointing.  I thought after a dozen or so replies there would surely be volleyball or gymnastics pics up in here.

It's commonplace now.

I think there was some sort of rule against it for a bit, or something like that.

Proud you need to look at the woopig softball picture....those motherfukers would be lucky to play a half court game.   We could find four other guys and stroke them

Opps.  My old college roommate even went to the games at Maples.  I didn't think it had been that far back.

The women are playing South Carolina right now on SEC Network. If they win they get a bye in the SEC Tournament, something they have never done.

If I understood our coach right earlier this week, in the history of SEC women's basketball, no SEC team has beaten Tenn then won their next game.

I thought this would be a thread about Tennesse football recruiting violations.
